My name is Brendan Montgomery. I was born in Chicago, but I currently reside in Ann Arbor as a junior at the University of Michigan. Despite developing a love of numbers before words and majoring in economics, writing has become one of my passions. I wouldn't consider myself to be a creative thinker, but writing allows me to escape the constraining feeling that heavy quantitative work tends to put on me after a while. As a result of my recently discovered passion, I am pursuing a minor through Sweetland's Minor in Writing program.

My time outside of the classroom is primarily dedicated to eating pints of Chocolate Fudge Brownie ice cream and rooting for the Chicago White Sox. I have two dogs and a twin sister who I rarely see, and seven housemates who I might see too often.

I don't know what the future has in store for me, but I'm excited for whatever it brings.
